Hot latte
Whisk as above, then top with 200ml of steamed milk. Oat milk is the best non-dairy option.
A bowl, a whisk, hot water. The traditional method is still the best one.

The matcha bowl. Wide and shallow so the whisk has room to move.

Bamboo whisk. The bristles break up clumps and create the foam.

Small bamboo scoop. One scoop is roughly 1g of matcha.

Optional but recommended. Kills clumps before whisking.

Any kettle, just don't boil the water. 75°C is the sweet spot.
2g of matcha into your bowl. Sifting kills clumps so the whisk does its job.
40ml of water at 75°C. Hot enough to extract, cool enough not to burn the matcha.
Quick W motion until a smooth layer of foam appears.
Straight, or topped with milk for a latte. Then go run your day.
